Good stuff! Acoustic stuff sounds great, Dark Star is quite unique and The Eleven is fiery. Don't know how many times they had Janis on for LL but this one is far better than that 7-16-70 one.

Never heard this one before... always distracted by the huge 6/6/69 Lovelight, which I believe is the one that Phil writes about in his book about being the one where he was so dosed he barely made it out to play.

" I looked over at Jerry and saw a bridge of light like a rainbow of a thousand colors streaming between us; and flowing back and forth across that bridge: three-dimensional musical notes - some swirling like the planet jupiter roatating at 100 times normal speed, some like fuzzy little tennis balls with dozens of legs and feet(each foot wearing a different sock!), some striped like zebras, some like pool balls, some even rectangular or hexagonal, all brilliantly colored and evolving as they flowed, not only the notes that were being played, but all the possible notes that could have been played. That moment may well have been the peak of psychedelic music for me - the combination of absolute inevitability and estatic freedom has never been equaled."

There are varying opinions but I do believe it was the 6/6/69 show: http://www.archive.org/details/gd69-06-06.sbd.jupile.9494.sbeok.shnf

many thanks, I pulled this up this afternoon to preview it and left in my browser all day.

I just got round to playing it and the 1st Dupree's and Mountains are exquisite. The Mountains almost had me in tears.

Feeling the need for a lil pullin through, this being over 50 and lookin for a decent job, SUCKS! Humiliating to beg when you've been at the top of your profession.

The DS is very etherial too, a nice massaging of the tattered ego.( had to refine my comments after listening to the whole Ds- VERY INTENSE after the transition-lol)

Oh and for those who read this, Furthur is coming to the Rocks in late September, looks like a tough ticket, prepublic sales were gone before I could even find out.

I was a Telecomm Consultant/ sales and marketing.

The industry is a mess, I spent 6 months negotiating a position with a Hosted IT /SAAS company and they tried to screw me on the contract because its a owners market. All I wanted was to get paid if I sold and since it was straight commission I thought they needed to guarantee me a years commission on a monthly basis as long as the client was paying. They tried to say the contract was 6 months and they could cancel it and my commission with 30 days notice without cause. I could just get things going and they could keep all the money.

I was one of the top reps in the industry for 25 years now I can't get a lousy interview with a decent company, I'm told you get screened if your over 50. And the only survivors in this industry are the best crooks.

Thanks for the good thoughts, between the music and the kind thoughts I'll get through, I know I'm a lot better of than so many struggling right now and the future isn't looking much better according to the volatile stock market.
